6 questions to ask yourself
to create your life.
Are you also fed up with all the advice you get about how to live your life? As if everybody knew everything. Well, I slowly start to believe most people don´t know shit. But they are afraid that you find some new ways to live your life that make it simpler and truly YOUR LIFE!
Interested? Good so! Let´s start:
Here are my 6 questions to ask yourself in order to create your life:
- Who am I?
- What do I need in life?
- What is important to me?
- What for a life do I want?
- What do I want to leave behind?
- What am I willing to sacrifice in order to achieve my dreams?
Do this and you will:
- Find fulfilling work
- Be more motivated
- Feel better about yourself
- Have a deeper connection to the people that are important to you
- Enjoy your life more because it actually is YOUR LIFE that you are living
I suggest you take a lot of time, probably over a period of weeks/months/years, to answer those and other upcoming questions. Very likely your whole life. Do it for yourself and by yourself! Take moments alone and think about them. Be patient it will take time. Take a piece of paper and a pen. Maybe sit in the forest, park or at the sea. Take breaks. Don´t force it too much. After some time, you will get a clearer idea of your responses to those questions. Reflect on them and decipher the most important answers for you. To life your life!
And now take a piece of paper and write on it:
Write at least 5 goals and include the categories health, wealth (not money but something you really need in your life in order to be happy) and social (for my friends and family).
Here an example of how the list could start. However, remember you must make YOUR own list:
1. What do I want in my life
2. Design my life
3. Health goal
4. Wealth goal
5. Social goal
I understand that this is not easy. It is harsh. It is brutal. I struggle most of the days with the things I write in this post. I fail a lot at it. However, the alternative is no option. Living another person’s life would mean sacrificing your life. That is never a good idea. Don´t listen to the tempting voice that tells you to take the easy way. Remember:
“Do what is easy and your life will be hard.
Do what is hard and your life will be easy!“
Your homework for the rest of your life now is: Look at YOUR list daily. Refine it. And the most important work to accomplish it. Step by step.
I wish you a wonderful day and all the best.
P.s.: Three of my favorite quotes:
1. I can. I will. End of story.
2. Every day is a new life to a wise man.
3. Not dead, can´t quit.
P.s.s.: Oh, and don´t you worry. It will take time. You will feel stupid and confused. But over time you will have clearer answers. They will change. You change. We all do. That is part of life. However, if we are not careful, we will live another one’s life instead of ours. So, be open to yourself. And live YOUR LIFE. Go and get it!
